In celebration of Global Math Week (beginning October 10), MoMath has three exciting free offers to share with you:
Symposium – Saturday, October 7
MoMath has helped organize a symposium for mathematicians, math educators, and those who are involved with math outreach. All are welcome to attend this free event on Saturday, October 7, at NYU’s Courant Institute, including breakfast and lunch, but you must register at gmp.momath.org to participate.
Celebration – Saturday, October 7
A celebration of Global Math Week will also take place later that evening at the National Museum of Mathematics, from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm. Come experience more than three dozen engaging math exhibits, plus enjoy music and refreshments, along with some of the nation’s top names in mathematics. The celebration is free to all symposium attendees, but registration is required: gmp.momath.org.
Free Admission – Sunday, October 8
The next morning, on Sunday, October 8, it’s time for Free Play! All are invited to bring the entire family to MoMath free of charge from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, courtesy of OppenheimerFunds. John Conway, renowned Princeton mathematician, will be on hand from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm and from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm to meet, greet, and chat with visitors to the Museum.
