Hard clam aquaculture is an industry on the rise in NY and NJ waters, but leasing has been limited in scale compared to other mid-Atlantic states. Rebecca will present work that provides the missing data on local ecological impacts from a three-year controlled study on hard-clam aquaculture in New Jersey that may justify increases in aquacultural capacity.
